The Pasadena Business Association (NPBA) are hosting there 2nd Annual Strawberry Stroll. The Stroll is a 5k walk/run between the park and Pasadena’s Veterans Memorial Stadium. The event is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 8th, the run starts at 8:00am and the walk starts at 8:30am. The purpose of the Strawberry Stroll is to help raise awareness and provide fund-raising for the renovation Pasadena’s Strawberry Park.

Marilyn Wilkins President, presented a check at the July 26th Pasadena City Council meeting for $2625 for park benches, picnic tables and BBQ grills to be place in Strawberry Park. The money was raised from lasts years Strawberry Stroll and will offset some of the the city expenditure’s to help improve the park and make it more enjoyable for the parks visitors.

The park is Located at 2900 Lafferty Rd, Pasadena, TX 77502, Strawberry Park established in 1979 consists of approximately 50 acres and is one of the city’s longest-standing institutions. The park contains a swimming pool, tennis courts, lighted baseball fields, a sand volleyball court, a fitness trail, a pavilion area and a veterans’ memorial. Strawberry Park is the second most-visited park in the city with an estimated up to 2,900 Pasadena Independent School students visit annually. It is the largest public park in the city.
